Calendar export

A private iCal feed of upcoming reservations, subscribable from any calendar app.

Each restaurant has a private iCal feed with all upcoming reservations. Owners and managers can subscribe to it from Apple Calendar, Outlook, Fastmail, or any other tool that supports the iCal protocol.

Getting your feed URL

From Settings → Integrations → Calendar, click Generate feed URL. The URL contains an unguessable token; treat it like a password. You can rotate the token at any time, which invalidates the old URL.

What is in the feed

Each reservation is one calendar event with title {guestName} · {partySize}, the start and end of the booking, the assigned table in the location, and the host's notes in the description. Cancelled and no-show reservations are removed from the feed.

Subscribing

  • Apple Calendar — File → New Calendar Subscription.
  • Outlook — Add calendar → Subscribe from web.
  • Google Calendar — Other calendars → From URL. Note that Google polls iCal feeds slowly (up to 24 hours).
Google Calendar two-way sync planned
A native Google Calendar two-way sync is on the roadmap. It will offer faster propagation and the option to push changes from Google back into DineOS.
