Custom domain

Serve the booking page on your own domain via a single CNAME record.

Restaurants without their own website can use the DineOS-hosted booking page. It is available on a default subdomain (e.g. my-restaurant.book.dineos.com), and on the Professional plan you can serve it on your own domain instead — for example book.my-restaurant.com.

DNS setup

  1. 1

    Choose your subdomain

The most common choice is book, but reservations or tisch work equally well. Decide before you create the DNS record so you do not have to change it later.
  2. 2

    Add a CNAME record

In your DNS provider, add a CNAME pointing your subdomain at cname.dineos.com. TTL of 300 seconds is fine.
  3. 3

    Verify in DineOS

In Settings → Booking page → Custom domain, enter the subdomain and click Verify. DineOS issues a TLS certificate via Let's Encrypt automatically; allow up to ten minutes for DNS propagation.

Example record

zone-filedns
book 3600 IN CNAME cname.dineos.com.
Apex domains
Apex (root) domains like my-restaurant.com cannot be CNAMEd in standard DNS. Use a subdomain, or use a provider that supports ALIAS/ANAME records (Cloudflare, Route 53) and follow the same process.
