The guest app
The Onboard app has a full guest side: discover restaurants, book tables, watch videos and photos in the feed, buy offers & tickets — plus foodie level, reviews and Wallet passes.
Guests sign in to the same Onboard app as restaurant teams — the app detects the account type and shows guests their own five-tab surface.
The five tabs
| Name | Type | Required | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Entdecken | tab | — | — | Browse restaurants — as a list or map, sortable by rating. Every restaurant page shows photos, menu, reviews, opening hours and the book button. |
| Reservierungen | tab | — | — | All of the guest’s bookings: upcoming and past, with modify/cancel, a QR code for check-in and "Add to Apple Wallet". |
| Feed | tab | — | — | A vertical video and photo feed from restaurants — with likes, reviews and a direct jump to booking. Content can be reported, accounts blocked. |
| Angebote | tab | — | — | Purchasable vouchers and tickets from restaurants — paid via Stripe, delivered by email and into "My vouchers & tickets". |
| Konto | tab | — | — | Profile, foodie level & points, year in review, my reviews, my vouchers, notification settings, appearance and the safety hub (report & block). |
Neo as guest concierge
On every restaurant page, Neo answers questions about the kitchen, opening hours and directions — grounded in that restaurant’s public data — and helps book directly. More on the Neo page.
Sign-in: email code, Google, Apple
Guests sign in with an email login code — no password. There is also native "Sign in with Apple" and "Sign in with Google": both link to the same Onboard account when the email address matches. Reservations, points and vouchers belong to the account, not the device.
Links in Onboard emails open the app directly: the "manage reservation" link from the confirmation email lands on the booking’s manage view, the "book again" link from the cancellation email on the restaurant page. Without the app installed, the same link opens the web view.
Reporting, blocking, content filter
All community surfaces (reviews, feed) consistently offer report and block actions plus a server-side objectionable-language filter. The safety hub is always reachable from the account tab.
