Getting Started
Quickstart
Go from a fresh account to taking online reservations in about fifteen minutes.
This quickstart walks you through the five things every new restaurant should do first. Each step links to a deeper guide if you want more detail. You can do all of them on the free Starter plan — no credit card required.
Five steps to live
- 1
Sign up for an account
Create an account at app.dineos.com/signup. Use the email address you want billing receipts to go to — you can change it later, but it is the quickest path. New accounts start on the 14-day Professional trial automatically; there is nothing to opt in to. - 2
Create your first restaurant
Inside the workspace, click+ New restaurantand fill in the name, address, timezone and opening hours. The address is used to geolocate the restaurant for the booking widget and to default the timezone correctly. - 3
Import or sketch your floor plan
Open the Floor plan editor, drop tables onto the canvas, and assign capacities. Group them into sections (terrace, bar, main room). If you already have a layout in another tool, you can paste an image as a background and trace tables on top of it. - 4
Install the reservation widget
Copy the script tag fromSettings → Widgetand paste it into your website's HTML. Add your domain to the origin allowlist so the widget will render. The widget is themable and ships with five built-in styles. - 5
Invite your team
Add your hosts, servers and managers fromSettings → Team. Each person gets a role that controls what they see — hosts see reservations and floor plan, servers see only their assigned tables, kitchen sees allergen-only previews.
That is it
Your restaurant is live. Reservations made through the widget will flow into the reservations list in real time, and your team can start using the mobile or web app immediately.
