Mobile app
Installing the app & signing in
There is one Onboard app — serving guests, staff and managers, each with their own surface. The app detects the account type at login and shows the right view automatically.
One app, three surfaces
- Guests — discover restaurants, book, feed, offers & tickets, foodie level. See The guest app.
- Staff — shifts, clock, chat, voucher scanner, check-in. See The team app.
- Managers — additionally reservations, tables & floor plan, reports and settings.
The app is available natively for iPhone and iPad (iOS, portrait and landscape) on the App Store and for Android phones and tablets on Google Play — the host-stand iPad is a fully supported scenario.
Signing in
- 1
Email login code (default)
Enter your email address, type the six-digit code from the email — done. No password, no magic-link detour through the browser. - 2
With Apple / with Google
Both native sign-ins link to the existing Onboard account when the email address matches — reservations, points and vouchers carry over no matter how you sign in. - 3
Team members
Staff and managers are first invited in the web backoffice (see Roles & permissions) and then sign in to the app with the same email address.
Email links open the app
Onboard emails (reservation confirmation, cancellation, voucher) use universal links: with the app installed, the link opens the matching view directly — e.g. "manage reservation". Without the app, the same link lands on the web view.
What about the webapp?
The web backoffice remains the most complete admin surface and can also be installed to the home screen as a PWA. For day-to-day service operations, the native app is the recommended path.
